Deadlines

Application Deadlines

The following deadlines reflect the Ministry of Training, Colleges, & Universities policies and apply to every OSAP year. To view this term's deadline dates, see Important News, Dates, and Notices.

Note: While these are the final deadlines to apply for OSAP, it's important to keep in mind that the sooner you apply, the sooner an assessment will be available for you. Regardless of when you hand in your application, it will take approximately six to eight weeks in order to receive a decision.

One-term programs (12-20 weeks)
Your application must be received by UW Student Awards within the first 30 days of your study period in order for you to be eligible for OSAP funding.

Two or three-term programs (21-52 weeks)
If your application is received within the first 45 days of your study period, you will be eligible for OSAP funding for the entire study period.

If your application is received after the first 45 days of your study period, but no later than 90 days before the end of your study period, you will be eligible for OSAP funding from the date your application is received until the end of your study period.

If your application is received less than 90 days before the end of your current study period, you will not be eligible for OSAP funding.
